The EU’s total shipments of multi-product and proximity steel stockholding and distribution in the first eight months of the year fell by 13.2pc from the same period in 2019, according to Eurometal.
In August alone, al of the EU’s steel shipments were down by 12.7pc from August 2019, Eurometal stated.
The EU’s steel stock volume index in August rose to 81 days from 80 days a year earlier.
The EU’s steel service center shipments declined by 18.7pc in the first eight month of 2020, while its shipment were down by 1.5pc in August and by 11.8pc from July.
Its stock volume index in August dropped to 98 from 115 last ear, Eurometal reported.
