The Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEC) has initiated a review on some steel pipes and tubes originating in Ukraine and imported into the region. The Department of Internal Market Protection in the EAEC is launching a new antidumping investigation as the present duties were established initially on June 22, 2011, and were extended five years later in June 2016.
The product lines under review include tubings, general-purpose pipes, large-diameter pipes for oil and gas extraction, and casings.
The new investigation by the EAEC will research and analyze information in a case study and seek to assess the damage to the Eurasian economy unless anti-dumping measures are imposed. If renewed damage to the industry is assessed, the present measures will continue.
The Euroasian Economic Union includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, and the Russian Federation. Some of the regional pipe producers supporting the investigation include TMK-KPV, Vyksa Metallurgical, Seversky Pipe, Sinarsky Pipe, Chelyabinsk Tube, Pervousalk, and Volzhsky Pipe.
