The European The Aluminum Association has appointed Ingrid Jörg as its new chairperson, replacing Emilio Bragi, effective July 1, 2021.
Jörg has held senior positions in conglomerates, including Alcoa, Aleris, and AMAG. She is currently the president of Aerospace and Transportation at Constellium and also serves as a non-executive director at voestalpine.
She will focus on sustainable aluminum production and create a framework for Europe’s aluminum recovery and growth.
Gerald Gotz, the Association’s director-general said that Braghi had a vital part to play in the Association’s Circular Aluminium Action Plan and two successful anti-dumping investigations against China. The latter will continue in his role as president of Novelis Europe.
