Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The EU’s new car registration in the first five months of the year rose by 29.5pc to 4.3 million units compared to the same period in 2020, according to the European Automobile Manufacturing Association (ACEA). 

 

The continent’s top four automobile markets showed significant growth with Italy’s vehicle registrations up by 62.8pc, France’s sales up by 50.1pc, Spain’s new car registration increasing by 40pc, and Germany’s new car sales rising by 12.8pc. 

 

The EU’s new car registration in May increased by 53.4pc to 891,665 units compared to the same month last year but it was way below the 1.2 million units sold in May 2019, ACEA reported.
