Komaki, India’s two-wheeler electric bike manufacturer, would be increasing production capacity to 8,500 units a day, according to media reports. 

 

The report stated that the company will increase production from 4,500 units a day to 8,500 units to meet the festive demand in Delhi regions. 

 

This year, Komaki has already sold 21,000 units. Demand for electric two-wheelers is on the rise and the company is optimistic of higher demand in the short term. The company stated that the new models have contributed majorly towards the higher sales. 

 

Higher production of electric vehicles would result in higher consumption of aluminium, steel and battery metals like lithium and nickel. 

 

Several auto manufacturers are looking forward to the festive season in India which has always been an excellent quarter with increased consumer spending.
