Ukraine-based Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet production stood at 2.7mn in Q1 2021 ending March, marginally down by 0.4pc from the year prior, according to the company press release.
From the prior quarter, production declined by 12pc amid the ongoing pelletizer line upgradation work.
The company has already completed upgrade work on one of its pelletizer lines in the first quarter. Work is underway for yet another line in the second quarter.
The group expects its overall pelletization capacity to increase by 50,000-100,000mt annually once the work is complete.
The company also produced 65,000 mt of high-grade concentrate for sale in Q1 2021.
Ferrexpo is a manufacturer and exporter of iron ore products with plants in Poltava and Eristovsky GOKs.
