Swiss company Ferrexpo produced 11.2mn mt iron ore pellet in 2020, up by 7pc from the year prior, as per recent press release. The company’s iron ore pellet sales rose by 18pc to 12.1mn mt in the same period.

 

Ferrexpo, which is into mining, processing and selling high quality iron ore pellets, also mentioned that its iron ore pellet production surged by 22pc to 3.1mn mt in fourth quarter 2020, following the successful ramping-up of the group’s concentrator expansion project.

 

The company contributed 99pc of the production from the high quality of 65pc Fe and 67pc Fe grade.

 

Its operation and logistics continued to operate with minimal impact of COVID-19 during Q4 2020, the statement said. 

 

The company is world’s 3rd largest exporter of pellets to the global steel industry with a market share of approximately 9pc. Ferrexpo supplies to steel mills in Austria, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Vietnam and America.
