India’s Force Motors reported a drop of 20pc in production to 1,426 units in November compared to the prior year. Domestic sales were down 57pc to 828 units from a year ago.
The company’s total exports, however, jumped by 70pc to 300 units in November compared to 176 units last year. Overall sales fell by 20pc to 1,426 units with a 57pc drop in domestic sales.
Auto companies that belong to commercial vehicle segment are struggling as the pandemic is still hurting demand and production. On the other hand, passenger cars and farm segment auto manufacturers received strong demand from consumers amid the festive season, which continued in November.
Force Motors manufacturers light commercial vehicles, multi utility vehicles, agricultural vehicles and sports utility vehicles. The company has two manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra, and one each in Madhya Pradesh and Chennai.
