French manufacturing industry output rose by 4.5pc in July as compared to previous month as per France’s National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).
Industrial production still fell short by 7.9pc compared to February of this year before the COVID-19 related shutdown begun.
In the three-month period during May to July, manufacturing industry production increased by 5.4pc compared to the previous three-month period. Production in mining sector rose by close to 3pc while it increased by 1.1pc for the transport equipment industry.
However, manufacturing production fell by 15.3pc in the May-July compared to same period in 2019, INSEE reported. Production in the French transport equipment industry declined by 36.5pc while mining outputs fell by 8.9pc in May to July 2020 compared to the identical period in 2019.
