France’s new car registration increased by 50.1pc in the first five months of the year to 723,257 units compared to the same period in 2020, according to French Automobile Manufacturer’s Committee (CCFA).

 

In May alone, the country’s new car registration grew by 38.7pc to 141,040 cars annually. 

 

In the five-month period, France’s light commercial vehicle market rose by 59.3pc to 196,164 units from the same month in 2020 while it increased by 23.5pc to 36,042 units in May 2021 from May last year. 

 

France’s industrial vehicle registration saw a 26.9pc growth to 14,978 units in the January to May period this year from the same months in 2020. In May alone, the registration of industrial vehicle registration saw an 11.5pc to 3,460 cars compared to May 2021.
