Chinese auto manufacturer Geely Auto announced that its total sales volume in the first four months of the year was up by 39pc to 433,907 units compared to the same period last year.
This sales volume represents 28pc of the total target of 1.5 million units in 2021, it said in a statement on Monday.
In April alone, the company’s domestic sales volume dropped by 5pc to 100,331 units from April 2020 and remained at par with March 2021 sales. The car manufacturer also announced that its export sales in April surged by 96pc to 8,578 units compared to the same month in 2020.
Of the total domestic sales volumes, 3,787 units were new energy and electrified vehicles. Sedans represented 41,115 units, SUV sales were 58,897 vehicles, and multi-purpose vehicles were 319 units in April.
The company added that the sales volume of its 50pc owned joint venture LYNK & Co’s-branded vehicles grew by 87pc to 19,021 units this April compared to the same month last year.
