Germany’s import price index dropped by 3.8pc in November 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, according to the country’s Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
Compared with the prior month, the import price index rose by 0.5pc in November. The country’s export price index fell by fell by 0.6pc in November compared to the same month in 2019 while it rose by 0.4pc from the previous month, Destatis reported.
Both indexes exclude prices of mineral and crude oil. In September and October 2020 as well, the import prices index fell by 4.3pc and 3.9pc on an annual basis.
