Germany’s industrial production grew by 5.1pc in March on an annual basis and rose by 2.5pc from Ferbruary 2020, according to Destatis.
Production of intermediate goods increased by 1.2pc in March while consumer goods production rose by 2.9pc on a monthly basis. On the other hand, capital goods production dropped by 0.4pc in March compared to February this year. Destatis also reported that the country’s exports in March increased by 16.1pc to €126.5bn ($153.8bn) compared to the same month last year while it rose by 1.2pc from February this year.
Germany’s industrial imports saw a 15.5pc rise to €105.9bn compared to March 2020 and grew by 6.5pc from the previous month.
