Germany’s exports to non-EU countries grew by 5.8pc in July from the same year-ago month and were down by 2.7pc from June this year, according to the country’s Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
That said, July exports were higher by 7.8pc from February last year, the month before pandemic-related global lockdowns began.
Destatis also reported that the index for export prices in July rose by 6.3pc annually while it grew by 1.2pc from the previous month. Germany’s index for import prices saw a 15pc hike in July from the same month last year and rose by 2.2pc from this June.
