Central India-based Godawari Power and Ispat has received a go-ahead from Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board to expand iron ore mine capacity to 2.35mn mt from 1.405mn mt at Ari Dongri mines in Chhattisgarh.

 

Godawari has also announced its entry in flat product segment with a production capacity of 1.5-2mn mt in Chhattisgarh, under the production-linked incentive scheme. 

 

The company is also increasing its existing steel billet capacity from 400,000mt to 700,000mt by the end of FY22.

 

Godawari Power and Ispat is an integrated long steel producer based in Raipur in Central India with an iron ore mining capacity of 3mn mt, iron ore pellet of 2.4mn mt, sponge iron of 0.5mn mt, billets of 0.4mn mt and MS rounds of 0.4mn mt in FY21.
