Godawari Power and Ispat has secured the environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for capacity expansion and refurbishment at its existing plant at Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur.
The company is yet to receive ‘Consent to Establishment’ for Steel Billets, HB Wire and iron ore beneficiation plant, and a ‘Consent to Operate’ for the increased capacity for the iron ore pelletization plant. Operations at the increased capacity levels would commence after the consent.
Once the expansion is completed, the billet plant’s annual production capacity would reach 700,000mt from the present 400,000mt. The capacity for the HB wire plant would be 200,000mt, that for iron ore beneficiation plant would be 3.28mn mt, and the iron ore pelletization plant will be able to produce 2.40mn mt.
