Godawari Power and Ispat has resumed mining operations at its Ari Dongri iron ore mine, located at Kanker, Chhattisgarh.
It also restarted manufacturing activities at its iron ore pellet plant, with a capacity of 2.1mn mt located at Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with effect from April 10, 2020, a press release said.
The company has taken the necessary approval from local authorities and has also taken all steps required to safeguard employees.
However, the company’s mining operations at the Boria Tibu mines, and manufacturing activities across all other divisions, remain suspended.
The company had temporarily stopped all operations on March 24, following the lockdown declared by the state and central government in order to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
