Indian steelmaker Godawari Power and Ispat (GPIL) has started booking high grade iron ore pellets (65.5pc Fe) export orders from China and other countries, according to a recent press release.
The company, based in Raipur in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, has booked the first order of 50,000mt and will dispatch from April. The company will focus on production and export of high grade iron ore pellet only, the release said.
The company had earlier reported a drop in its pellet output and sales in Q3. Iron ore pellet is currently priced at around Rs11,200-11,500/mt ($155-159/mt) ex-works Raipur.
