Granges completed its acquisition of GETEK GmbH on Thursday, and will now integrate that company through a new business unit focusing on advanced aluminum powder and spray forming technology.
The new business will operate under Granges Powder Metallurgy, which will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Granges AB and Granges Europe operations, the aluminum maker said in a media statement on Oct 1. The subsidiary will also include the assets of Dispal, whose acquisition is slated for completion by January 1, 2021.
GETEK and Dispal’s acquisitions will add more capabilities in the advanced aluminum sector for Granges and will be a strategic fit for its growth the company said in its statement.
