India recycler, Gravita’s lead sales volumes rose to 23,687mt in Q4 (January-March), up by 5.8pc from the prior year quarter, while up by 9pc from Q3. Aluminium volumes increased to 2,586mt, up by 2.1pc from a year ago and up by 26pc from Q4.
In Q4, the company’s scrap collection for Indian plants was 53pc from domestic sources. Gravita’s EBITDA/mt increased by 24pc from the prior year quarter. In lead, EBITDA/mt rose to Rs12,544/mt up by 16pc from the prior year Q4, while in aluminium it rose to Rs15,621/mt, up 44.8pc.
Gravita’s revenues in the quarter rose to Rs4,380mn, up by 15.6pc from the prior year, while for the full year it was up 4.6pc at Rs14,097mn. Profit after tax rose by 69pc in Q4 to Rs213.5mn and full year profits rose to Rs524.81mn, up by 58.2pc from the prior year.
The company earned 33pc of its revenues and 71pc of profits from its overseas businesses.
