Guangzhou Automobile Group’s (GAG) produced 179,100 units in April, up by 7.11pc from the prior year month and up by 63.51pc from March. The company’s production and sales recovered in April, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
GAG’s sales volume in April was 163,600 units, an increase of 6.1pc from April 2019 and an increase of 50.5pc from March. In the first four months of 2020, cumulative production was 444,000 units, down by 13.34pc form the same period last year. During first quarter of the year, cumulative sales volume declined by 10.46pc to 472,400 units from the previous year quarter.
GAG sold 5,281 new energy vehicles in April and increase of 55pc from the previous year. In first four months of 2020, sales of new energy vehicles was around 15,900 units, up by 85pc from the same period last year.
