Tata Motors CEO Guenter Butschek plans to step down on June 30, after five years, according to media reports.

Butschek is relocating to Germany because of personal reasons and will continue to be a consultant in the company till this fiscal year-end.

 

The President for Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles segment, Girish Wagh will assume charge as the executive director from July 1. Girish Wagh, Shailesh Chandra, and Thierry Bollore – the Presidents and CEO of Commercial Vehicles, Passenger Vehicles, and Jaguar Land Rover departments, respectively, will work in tandem with N Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Motors.

 

Butschek handled Tata Motors operations in India and international markets like Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, and South Africa since January 2016.
