Canadian copper miner Taseko Mines expects robust production from its Pollyanna Pit project in British Columbia in H2 2021, on higher quarterly output at the project.
In Q2 2021, Taseko’s copper production at Pollyanna increased by 20pc to 27mn lb (12,247mt) from 22mn lb in the previous quarter.
The miner also produced 400,000lb of molybdenum during the quarter, down from 530,000lb produced in Q1 2021.
The company, which recently announced plans to carry out in situ mining at its upcoming Florence Mine in Arizona, also plans to benefit from the high copper prices, which will complement the higher production.
