Vietnam-based Hoa Phat increased crude steel production by 55pc to 4mn mt in H1 2021 compared to the same year-ago period. Steel sales volume rose by 60pc to 4.3mn in H1 2021 against the same period a year ago.
Hot-rolled coil (HRC) was 1.3mn mt in H1 and met half of the year’s sales plan. Construction steel climbed by 22pc to 1.8mn or 42pc of all sales. Billets steel total sales in both domestic and export markets was 608,000mt.
Steel pipes increased by 8pc to 375,000mt in H1 2021 against the same year-ago period. Galvanized steel sheet grew by 2.8 times to 160,000mt in H1 compared to the year-ago period.
Hoa Phat rose crude steel production by 49pc to 658,000mt in June 2021 compared to the same year-ago month.
Steel sales rose by 10pc to 569,000mt in June 2021 against the same month last year. HRC steel and construction steel achieved 230,000mt, steel pipe sales were 41,000mt, and the remaining 298,000mt were comprised of galvanized steel sheet and steel billet.
