Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat Steel sold 95,000mt of steel pipes and 16,900mt of galvanized coils in November, up by 31.2pc and 135pc, respectively, compared to the prior-year period. Sales rose driven by healthy demand in the construction sector along with the government’s public investment promotion policy, stated the company.
Raw material prices were on an uptrend. Thus distributors, agents, and contractors stocked inventories to sustain production.
Sales grew in all three regions in Vietnam. In the North, sales were up by 34.2pc, and by 33.7pc and 17.8pc in the South and Central Vietnam, respectively.
