Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat’s sales in September stood at 522,000mt, up by 4pc from 500,000mt in August, according to the company’s monthly statement. The company’s September sales include 352,000mt of finished steel and 170,000mt of billets.
Hoa Phat’s exported 62,700mt of products in September, two times higher than the prior year.
In the Jan-Sep period, the company produced over 4mn mt of crude steel, double than the prior year. Production in the southern region reached nearly 600,000mt in the period.
Hoa Phat construction steel exported more than 370,000mt of products in the Jan-Sep period, up 95pc from the prior period. The company has various investment projects lined up like Trung Luong My Thuan Expressway, Song Hau 1 Thermal Power, GemaLink International Port, etc.
Around 1.25mn mt of billets were exported under the contract to customers across the globe. The top importers were Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Canada, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos.
Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex is improving its HRC product output and quality. The company’s HRC output up to now has reached 230,000mt.
