Honda Motors’ global production in year till April rose by 128.9pc to more than 1.4 million units compared to the same period in 2020. In April, output saw a 194.8pc rise to 414,532 units compared to April last year.
In the four month period, its production within Japan saw a 88.6pc rise to 228,072 vehicles on an annual basis and its April production rose by 123.9pc to 65,794 units from the same month in 2020. For the global marker, Production in the first four months grew by 140.3pc to 1.2 million units from the same months in 2020 while it April output surged by 218.5pc to 348,738 units from April last year.
Sales in the Japanese market was up by 98.9pc in the first four months of 2021 to 229,659 units compared to the same period last year and grew by 106.2pc to 47,817 units in April on an annual basis. Total exports from Japan grew by 45.9pc to 14,458 units in the January-April over the same period in 2020. In April, exports rose by 73.1pc to 6,001 units from April last year.
