American Honda reported a 17.8pc decline in January-November vehicle sales to 1.21 million units, compared with 1.47 million units in the same period of 2019.
The auto maker’s car sales in the region amounted to 500,868 units in the first 11 months of 2020 and 39,830 units in November, down by 23.5pc and 27pc, respectively, over the prior year. Honda’s best-selling models in the region were the CR-V model SUV and the Civic sedan. Sales of imported cars fell by 46pc in January-November and 42pc last month to 52,616 vehicles and 3,427 vehicles, respectively.
In the year till November, pickup truck sales accounted for 709,453 units, dipping 13.2pc annually while a 21pc decline was seen in November to 62,784 units.
