Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Hungary’s industrial output rose by 2.2pc in September compared to the same month in 2019, and by 2.3pc on a monthly basis, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH) noted. 

 

The country’s export sales were up by 3.8pc with transportation equipment rising 8.8pc while the volume of motor vehicles climbed by 5.8pc in September on an annual basis. Domestic sales of manufactured goods and fabricated metals fell 1.3pc and 4.3pc in the same period.

In January-September, industrial production declined by 9.2pc with export sales falling by 9.5pc and domestic sales declining by 6.6pc compared to the same months in 2019, KSH stated. 

 

The country’s construction output volume fell by 14.7pc in September. However, compared to August, it rose by 1.4pc. Of this, construction of buildings decreased by 9.1pc while civil engineering fell by 20.6pc in September on an annual basis. Hungary’s construction output in the first nine months of the year declined by 11pc compared to the same period last year.
