Hungary’s industrial production increased by 18.8pcin the first six months of the year, according to Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH).
In the six month period, the export sales saw a 20pc growth and domestic sales increased by 13.3pc in the same period in 2020.
The country’s industrial production grew by 22pc in June from June last year while it was 0.3pc lower than May this year,
Industrial export in June increased by 14.4pc annually with export of transport equipment rising by 11.3pc in June from June last year. Domestic sales went up by 24pc in June from the same month last year. Production in the manufacturing industry increased by 22pc and by 28pc in the mining and quarrying sector, KSH stated.
The production of transport equipment saw a 13.6pc increase in June on an annual basis with the volume of motor vehicles manufacturing increasing by 14.7pc and motor parts and accessories rising by 11.3pc. Production of non-metallic mineral products along with rubber and plastic saw a 25pc increase in June from June 2020 while that of basic metals and fabricated metal products increased by 34pc annually.
KSH also reported that, Hungary’s construction output in the January to June period rose by 7.3pc compared to the same period in 2020.
Hungary’s construction output grew by 27.8pc in June from June last year, with construction in the two main groups – construction of building, up by 25pc and construction in civil engineering up by 32.1pc annually. Output in construction also rose by 3.5pc in June compared to May this year.
Construction output volume also increased in the three main divisions – up for construction of building by 15pc, up for civil engineering by 39pc and up for specialized construction activities by 29.4pc.
