Vestre, an outdoor furniture manufacturer in Norway would be using Hydro Circal, in their furniture series, Folk. According to Norwegian aluminium company Hydro, Circal is made up of 75pc post consumer scrap and has third party Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification
Cical is manufactured using advanced sorting technology and aluminium obtained from end of life windows, cans, doors and car parts.
Vestre claimed that the company depends on ethically sourced low carbon material that lasts longer and can be recycled after end of its use. Norwagian aluminium maker Hydro’s primary aluminium production rose by 55,000mt to 545,000mt in the fourth quarter from a year ago on lower material costs.
Company’s re-melted metal production fell by 14,000mt to 121,000mt in Q4 from 135,000mt in the prior year on lower volumes and margins.
