India’s weekly imported aluminium scrap prices stayed flat. The official three-month LME aluminium contract witnessed a marginal $2.5/mt increase. Demand from buyers amid the nationwide lockdown, however, is close to nil. The lockdown which was to end on May 3, is expected to be extended.
The Davis Index for 6063 aluminium extrusion scrap remained unchanged at $1,292/mt cfr India port, Thursday and Troma at $1,268/mt cfr India port, from a week ago. The weekly index for Tense and Taint/Tabor cfr India port also remained unchanged at $934/mt and %939/mt, respectively.
The Davis Index for ADC12 fob China rose by $40/mt to settle at $1,375/mt, Thursday, ahead of a five-day holiday in the country.
The official three-month LME aluminium contract settled at $1,504/mt, Wednesday, up from $1,501/mt from a week ago.
