Indian shipbreaking prices remain mixed on Wednesday amid weak demand. The daily Davis Index for 4Ani rose by Rs100/mt ($1.35/mt) to Rs29,200/mt ex-Alang ($396.88/mt). Trades were reported at the index price.
The daily Indexes for 6Ani and 12Ani settled flat at Rs29,850/mt and Rs31,850/mt ex-Alang, respectively.
Among other rolling scrap grades, the daily Davis Indexes for 2kg and 5kg plates also settled flat at Rs 29,600/mt and Rs30,200/mt ex-Alang, respectively, amid moderate demand from the construction sector. A few transactions were reported at the index price.
The daily Index for HMS attachments and Melting declined by Rs400/mt each to Rs28,700/mt and Rs27,800/mt, respectively, with few trades reported at the index price.
