Indonesia’s car sales dropped by 48.89pc in October 2020 to 49,043 units, from 96,128 units in October 2019, according to the reports by the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industry, cited by media. Sales, however, rose by 1pc over the prior month.
In Jan-Oct 2020, manufacturers sold 4.21mn units, down by 51pc from 8.51mn units sold in the prior-year period.
Of all the automakers, Astra Group recorded the highest sales in the month with 26,410 units, while others like Toyota sold 16,419 units, followed by Daihatsu with 8,289 units, Honda with 7,732 units, Mitsubishi with 7,118 units, and Suzuki with 5,143 units.
