Ukraine-based Interpipe Steel’s steel production in the first eleven months of the year (Jan-Nov, 2020) declined by 12.6pc to 696,900mt from the prior period, according to media reports.

 

In November, the plant’s steel production stood at 55,600mt, down by 11.5pc as compared to October. The total round steel billets capacity of the plant is 1.32mn mt per annum.

 

The Ukrainian metal industry is currently facing a crisis. The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the sector due to which the annual steel output of the country is expected to witness a sharp decline.

 

Interpipe Steel is one of the largest electric steel complexes for the production of round steel billets in Eastern Europe and is part of the Interpipe group of companies (Dnipro).
