Iran’s lead and zinc producers extracted 977,343mt of ores in the Iranian year (March 21, 2019 – March 20, 2020); down by 11pc from the prior year, according to Iranian media reports based on Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization’s (Imidro) data.
The country’s Angouran Lead and Zinc Complex produced 910,177mt of lead and zinc, up by 11pc from the prior year, while Nakhlak Lead and Zinc Plant’s output dropped by 2pc to 67,167mt. The two producers extracted 1.09mn mt of ores in the period.
Lead and zinc ore extractions between March 1-19 amounted to 94,372mt, up by 16pc from the prior-year period. Of this, Angouran extracted 88,615mt of ore, up by 17pc. Nakhlak extracted 5,757mt of ore, up 1pc in the period.
