Iran’s auto production in the first eleven months (Mar 20, 2020-Feb 18, 2021) of the Iranian calendar stood at 817,069 units, according to local media reports citing data released on the Codal website.

 

IKCO

Of total vehicle production in the 11-month period, Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) produced 432,006 units. Of which, 312,563 units were of the Peugeot group, 48,947 units were of the Samand group, 11,664 units were of the Rana segment, and 50,943 units were of the Dena segment. The company also produced 84 units of the Tara group.

 

SAIPA Group

SAIPA Group’s auto output stood at 291,220 units in the Mar-Feb period. The output included 50,413 units of the Pride group, 214,128 units of the Tiba group, 10 units of Cerato group, 124 units of Ario, 212 units of Changan vehicles, and 25,462 units of Pride vans.

SAIPA exported 336 completely build units (CBU) to other countries during the same period.

 

Pars Khodro

Pars Khodro’s vehicle production in the Mar-Feb period stood at 93,843 units. Of which, the company produced 2,963 units of the Renault group and 3,740 units of the Brilliance group.

The company also produced 23,703 units in the X100 group (Pride), 8,180 units of Quick group, 48,023 units of the Q200 group, and 6,874 units of the S200 group.

 

Eleventh month

In the eleventh Iranian calendar month of Bahman (Jan 20 – Feb 18, 2021), IKCO’s auto production stood at 43,912 units, while SAIPA produced 29,452 units. Pars Khodro’s vehicle output stood at 12,828 units during the eleventh month.

 

Iran is planning to increase vehicle manufacturing in the coming months. The authorities have said that the country aims to manufacture 1.2mn units in the current Iranian year which seems like a realistic figure given the surge in auto production policies in the country, as per media reports.
