Iran produced 9.238mn mt of steel ingots in the first five months of the ongoing Iranian year (March-August), up by 7pc from the prior-year period, according to media reports. Output in August rose by 2pc to 1.756mn mt from Aug 2019.
The country’s steel ingot production is likely to exceed 30mn mt in the year, believes deputy minister for industry, mining, and trade, Darioush Esmaili.
