Iran exported 9.62 mn mt of steel products in 11 months, till February 2020 (March 21, 2019-February 19, 2020), up by 35.65pc from the prior 11-month period , Iranian media reported on April 15.
The country’s semi-finished steel exports amounted to 6.35mn mt, up by 42pc over prior 11-month period; of this, exports of blooms and billets rose by 52pc to 4.44mn mt and exports of slabs rose by 23pc to 1.91mn mt.
Iran’s finished steel exports rose by 25pc to 3.27mn mt, of which, long steel constituted the largest share amounting to 2.49mn mt, up by 35pc in the 11-month period.
