Iran produced 5.55mn mt of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) in the first two months of Iran’s fiscal year (March 21- May 20), up by 11pc from the prior-year period, according to the data released by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
Mobarakeh Steel Company held the largest share in total production with 1.43mn mt, up by 2pc from the prior-year period as per the data reported by Iranian media.
Second largest producer was Mianeh Steel Complex with 142,790mt, up by 152pc followed by Baft Steel Company which produced 113,784mt, up by 315pc.
