Iran’s iron ore concentrate production in the first eleven months (March 21, 2020- Feb 19, 2021) of the Iranian calendar stood at 46.18mn mt, up by 6pc as compared to 43.57mn mt produced in the prior-year period, according to the data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro).
Company-wise output
Of the total iron ore concentrate production in the Mar-Feb period, Golgohar Mining & Industrial Company produced 15.48mn mt, while Chadormalu Iron Ore Processing Plant produced 10.50mt mt of iron ore concentrate.
In the Mar-Feb period, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO)’s iron ore concentrate output stood at 5.83mn mt, while Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Concentrate Plant produced 4.90mn mt.
Iran Central Iron Ore Company’s (ICIOC) iron ore concentrate production in the first eleven months stood at 3.85mn mt, while Sanabad Pellet Plant produced 2.30mn mt of iron ore concentrate in the Mar-Feb period.
Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company produced 2.18mn mt of iron ore concentrate in the Mar-Feb period, while Sabanvar and Jalal Abad Iron Ore company produced 1.34mn mt, 362,843mt, respectively. Sangan Steel Mining Industries produced 214,649mt of iron ore concentrate in the 11-month period.
Sales
In the Mar-Feb period, Iranian companies sold 17.26mn mt of iron ore concentrate, registering a decline of 7pc as compared to 18.49mn mt in the same period in the previous year.
Eleventh month
In the eleventh month of Bahman (Jan 20-Feb 19, 2021), Iran’s iron ore concentrate production grew by 7pc to 4.53mn mt of iron ore concentrate as compared to 4.27mn mt produced in the same month in the preceding year.
Iranian companies sold 1.74mn mt of iron ore concentrate in the eleventh month, registering a growth of 2pc as compared to the same month in the prior year.
Granulated iron ore
In the Mar-Feb period, Iran’s granulated iron ore output decreased by 52pc to 881,271mt from 1.84mn mt produced in the prior-year period.
