Iran’s steel products’ exports decreased by 31pc to 2.2mn mt in the first four months of the current Iranian year (March-July), compared to the prior year period, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association’s report.
Of the total exports, the country exported 1.66mn mt of semi-finished products 1.66mn mt, up by 23pc from the prior year period.
Billet and bloom accounted for the largest share of semis exports with 1.34mn mt, down by 2pc over the previous year followed by slabs with 322,000mt, registering a fall of 5pc.
Finished steel exports stood at 571,000mt, down by 49pc, compared to a year ago, Iranian media reported.
