Gary Champlin, general manager, Champlin Tire Recycling, has been elected as the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries’ (ISRI) new chair.
In addition to Champlin, Brian Henesy of Rocky Mountain Recycling has been appointed ISRI’s chair-elect, while Colin Kelly of Schnitzer Steel Industries has been elected vice chair. Andy Golding of Kripke Enterprises will assume the duties of secretary and treasurer.
Champlin, who has held many ISRI positions before and has previously stated that trade associations move industries forward, is a third-generation member of Champlin Tire Recyling. Henesy, vice president and general manager of Rocky Mountain Recycling, is experienced in full-service ferrous, nonferrous and other metals recycling.
Kelly is Schnitzer’s corporate director of public affairs for the company’s northeast division and Golding has been Kriple’s vice president of sales and marketing for 15 years.
