Italian steekmaker Acciaierie Venete S.p.A is modernizing the finishing train for the rolling mill in Mura, Italy. The modernized equipment is expected to be commissioned by early August 2021.

The upgrade primarily focuses on the replacement of eight existing rolling stands with modern ones that are lighter and more easily moved from the workshop to the rolling line as needed. The new Red Ring rolling units, installed by Primetals Technologies will decrease change times and allow for easier and quicker maintenance. The existing guidance material will be reconfigured to let the stand sit in vertical or horizontal mode.
