Italian crude steel production declined by 18.7pc in the first seven months of the year to 11.8mn mt, according to the Italian Steel producers Association (Federacciai).
Crude steel output also declined by 12.2pc to 1.73mn mt in July from the same month last year, Federacciai reported.
Long steel product output in the January-July period dropped by 17.7pc to 6.3mn mt compared to same period in 2019, while it declined by 2.4pc to 1mn mt in July from a year ago.
The country’s flat steel production decreased on an annual basis by 21.9pc to 5.69mn mt in the first seven month of the year, and declined by 20.7pc to 755,000mt in July from the same month in 2019.
