Copper scrap export
Japan copper scrap exports declined by 32pc (11,241mt) in July, to 23,824mt from 35,064mt in the prior-year period.
Japan copper scrap export to China in July remained same at 15,384mt from the prior-year period and declined by 29pc from 21,793mt in June.
Japan copper scrap export to Malaysia declined by 66pc in July to 3,962mt from 11,619mt in the prior-year period and declined by 53pc from 8,378mt in June, this year.
Japan exported 1,347mt of copper scrap to Hong Kong in July, a decline of 25pc from 1,808mt in July 2020 and a decline of 51pc from 2,738mt from the previous month.

Copper scrap import
Japanese copper scrap imports increased by 8pc (1,241mt) in July to 16,586mt from 15,344mt in the prior-year period.
Copper scrap imports from Thailand increased by 61pc to 4,484mt from 2,788mt in the prior-year period and increased by 38pc from 3,244mt in the previous month.
Copper scrap imports from Saudi Arabia was up by 30pc to 1,762mt from 1,357mt in July 2020 but fell by 16pc from 2,096mt in June, this year.
Japan imported 1,663mt of copper scrap from the US in July, a decline of 12pc from 1,893mt in July 2020 and a decline of 3pc from 1,722mt in June 2021.

Aluminium scrap export
Japan aluminium scrap export increased by 17.9pc (4,741mt) in July to 31,270mt from 26,529mt in the prior-year period.
Aluminium scrap export from South Korea declined by 13pc to 8,569mt from 9,843mt in the prior-year period and by 6pc from 9,121mt in the prior month.
Aluminium scrap export from China surged by 34pc to 6,651mt in July from 4,968mt in July 2020 but fell by 37pc from 10,576mt in June 2021.
Japanese aluminium Scrap exports from Malaysia was up by 3pc to 6,104mt from 5,923mt in the previous year in July and declined by 29pc from 8,593mt in June 2021.
Japan exported 5,567mt of aluminium scrap to Thailand in July, a surge of 125pc from 2,473mt in the prior-year period and a decline of 12pc from 6,301 in the prior month.
