Indian steelmaker Jindal saw iron ore pellet sales fall by 7pc to 1.33mn mt in the fiscal year 2019-20 from the prior year while, pipes and pig iron sales fell marginally by 1pc to 1.25mn mt in the same period.
The company’s pellet production decreased by 33pc to 238,000mt in Q4, 2019-20 compared to prior year due to planned maintenance and later the national lockdown in March owing to COVID-19.
The company’s pipe production was marginally down by 1.26pc to 313,000mt in Q4 compare to prior year.
In the full year 2019-20, company’s pipes and pig iron, and pellet production were 1.24mn mt and 1.38mn mt, respectively.
