JSW steel is trying to maintain a stable capacity utilization rate at its Ballari plant in Karnataka as work from home for 50pc of workforce has been extended amid increasing number of COVID-19 cases at the plant as well as in the district, according to media reports.
In May, the company operated at 83pc of capacity utilization rate, up from 38pc in April. Capacity utilisation rate for June has not been released yet.
In order to control the spread of the virus among employees, JSW steel Vijayanagar has implemented several measures to ensure adequate monitoring and safety for employees.
