JSW Steel’s crude steel production in April declined by 5pc to 1.37 mn mt as compared to March when it produced 1.44mn mt. In April 2020, the crude steel production stood at 0.56mn mt.
Capacity utilization declined by 4pc in April as the focus was to supply liquid oxygen for medical purpose rather than for steel production. Over 20,000 mt of liquid oxygen was supplied in April.
The production of flat-rolled products declined by 9pc to 0.95mn mt while long- rolled products declined by 5pc to 0.33mn mt in April this year compared to the previous month, though it was higher than same period last year.
In April 2020, production of flat-rolled products stood at 0.34mt mt and long products stood at 0.08mn mt.
