Indian steel company Kamdhenu Ltd’s sales volume in the North India through franchise business rose by 11pc to 634,000mt in Q3 (October-December) of FY21 compared to Q2, as per recent press release.
Company said its sales in Q3 increased on account of strong recovery and robust demand from the infra projects and construction sector.
The company recently launched its premium brand Kamdhenu Nxt in Delhi and Haryana markets, aimed to expand its share in domestic TMT segment.
Satish Kumar Agrawal, chairman and MD of Kamdhenu, said there has been a sharp rebound in demand on the back of healthy rural consumption, strong sales in the auto and white goods sector and increased activity in construction sector. The company is optimistic about the recent announcement about production linked incentive scheme boosting manufacturing in India.
Government’s thrust on improving the infrastructure of the country and investment in projects such as affordable housing, railways,
metros, oil & gas distribution pipe-line projects would ensure growth for steel consumption.
Company has 79 franchise units across India selling its products. It has an installed capacity of around 3.8mn mt of steel rebar, 0.5mn mt of structural steel and .025mn mt of color coated sheets.
